Marin County Roofing Co. has been family owned and operated since its founding in 1921 by Herbert G. Christ—a young roofing products salesman with a vision to serve a growing Marin County community. At a time when the area had no dedicated roofing contractor, Herb saw an opportunity and launched Marin’s first roofing company.

In the 1960s, Herb’s son-in-law Dick Miller took over operations, serving a growing base of loyal customers—many of whom returned for their second or third Marin County Roofing roof. By 1979, Rick Miller joined his father in the business, expanding services to include carpentry, gutter systems, and sheet metal work.
Today, the company remains a proud family enterprise. Rick’s children, Lindsay (alongside her husband Michael) and RJ, have officially taken ownership of the business, becoming the fourth generation to lead Marin County Roofing Co. With a deep respect for its history and a passion for quality service, they are committed to carrying the company forward for another 100 years and beyond.

Rick Miller
President
Rick Miller has proudly carried forward the family tradition at Marin County Roofing Co. since 1979. A licensed general contractor and graduate of UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Business Administration, Rick has overseen roofing projects on homes and businesses throughout Marin County for more than four decades. His leadership reflects not only technical expertise but also a deep commitment to the community—values he demonstrated during his years of service with Marin Rotary from 1988 to 2000. Dedicated to integrity, craftsmanship, and care, Rick continues to uphold the standards set by his grandfather in 1921 while ensuring Marin County Roofing remains a trusted name for generations to come.

RJ Miller
Director of Operations
RJ Miller has been part of Marin County Roofing Co. since 2015, starting as a laborer and working his way up to his current role as Operations Manager. Following in his father Rick’s footsteps, RJ is pursuing his general contractor’s license to carry the family legacy into the next generation. Dedicated, hardworking, and community-minded, he brings fresh energy and a deep respect for the company’s tradition of craftsmanship and care. Outside of work, RJ is engaged and excited to celebrate his wedding next spring.
Lindsay & Michael Kruger

Lindsay and Michael Kruger recently joined Marin County Roofing Co. in ownership roles, overseeing the company’s operations and supporting its future growth. Lindsay, a Texas A&M graduate with dual degrees in Business Honors and Management, began her career in consulting with Accenture before founding her own interior design firm, blending business expertise with creativity and a passion for home renovations. Michael, a St. Mary’s College graduate in Business and Economics, brings years of experience in sales and a strong commitment to customer service. High school sweethearts from Marin Catholic, Lindsay and Michael are proud to work alongside family as they carry forward the company’s legacy with plans to pass it on to the next generation.
